Hi friends and happy Thursday! One of the best parts about the holiday on Monday was how quickly the work week is flying by--it will be Friday before we know it.
I recently reached out to Sweaty Bands to see if they would be willing to provide me with a headband for review (and one for a giveaway)! The kind folks at Sweaty Bands were happy to oblige and I was thrilled.
If you are anything like me, you may find that regular headbands refuse to stay still on your head when you're working out. Or is that just me and my goofy shaped head? In college, I used to use hair clips or bobby pins to try to hold down athletic hairbands like you would buy at a drug store or grocery store. It wasn't until I started running more seriously that I began investing in more expensive, high quality headbands for my workouts.
I have had moderate success with other brands that boast no-slide headbands--they are definitely a step up from the every day bands you buy at the store. However, after trying Sweaty Band, I know that I won't use anything else from here on out.
The Sweaty Band that I received doesn't slide on my head at all. The letter that I received with my trial band recommended that Sweaty Bands be worn as close to the hair line as possible to prevent slippage. I followed the instructions and headed out for a 4 mile run--only to return with my band still in place. I looked cute and my hair stayed back--what more could a runner girl want?
Two other reasons that I love Sweaty Bands? First, they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if for some reason you don't like your band or find it doesn't work for you, they will refund your money and you won't be out anything. But even more exciting (to me, anyway) is that Sweaty Bands headquarters is located in Cincinnati, Ohio! Buckeye pride right here--of course I'm going to keep buying awesome products made right here in my home state.
Want to try a Sweaty Band for yourself? Check out their website, they have tons of cute styles available! Also keep an eye out for Sweaty Bands at your favorite running store or at your next race expo.
One lucky reader will have the opportunity to win a Sweaty Band coming up later this week (along with the Huma Gel sample I promised a few days ago, and a sample of one more product that I will review tomorrow). Stay tuned for the next giveaway!
In the meantime, don't forget that tomorrow is the last day to enter my Keurig Brew Over Ice giveaway!
